Personal Philosophy
How do you feel? Our body has a way of telling us how we are doing. Sometimes, our bodies are better at it than how we express it! We are intricate and delicate beings. Our emotions came from somewhere. We do not always like how those emotions are expressed. As your therapist, I like to help unpack and explore feelings and body sensations that are experienced with you, the client. Together we can explore and delve into valuable meanings to what the body is trying to communicate through the emotions that are being expressed.
Let’s be honest…Sometimes life can be hard! What happens is when life gets hard we can struggle in small or large ways of how to express what we are experiencing. In a safe environment, we can explore together what is occurring in your life. As we journey together, we will find meaning in our experiences, fulfillment in any gaps, and mission for how to confidently live out our best lives.
I tend to use a person-centered approach that places you the client as the expert! Together, we will discover insights and find healing personally, for your marriage, or for your family!
Educational & Occupational Background
I am in my Masters program at the Texas A&M University-Kingsville studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a certification in sandtray therapy. Some things are easier said without using words. It is amazing to me about how sandtray therapy works. Sandtray therapy helps put in the sand what all is going on in our minds. By exploring the sandtray together, we can make sense of some of life’s biggest hurdles and find fulfillment and closure in some of life’s greatest joys.
I entered the mental health field because we all have problems. We need a safe place to express those problems and find meaning in them. I would love to help create a safe place for you to explore any problems you might be facing.
