LMFT-S · Founder & Clinical Director
That’s what I want for you and your relationships—and it’s why I founded McHam Family Therapy.
I believe that deep, lasting healing begins with connection. To live a full and meaningful life, we need healthy relationships with others, with the world around us, and within ourselves. When those connections are disrupted, stress, pain, and trauma can take hold.
My role as a therapist is to help you restore peace—in your heart, your body, and your mind.
Many people are still living in the shadows of past experiences that were overwhelming, painful, or never fully processed. Trauma can quietly shape how we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world. That’s why I specialize in trauma therapy and trauma-informed care.
McHam Family Therapy is a safe, nurturing space where you can process the past with compassion and support. Using evidence-based approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and the latest neuroscience-informed practices, we work to reduce the distress of traumatic memories and challenge the false narratives trauma leaves behind
Healing happens when you reconnect with your inner strength and regain a sense of control in your life and relationships. Together, we’ll work toward growth, resilience, and lasting chnage – so you can move forward with confidence and hope.
You deserve a better life.

For as long as I can remember, people have come to me for guidance about relationships and life decisions. They often assumed I had the answers. In truth, I was asking many of my own—especially as I worked to understand and heal from trauma in my own life.
Through time spent with compassionate, wise, and empathetic counselors, I experienced firsthand the power of feeling truly seen and understood. That experience planted a calling I could not ignore. While I still believe we are always learning, I knew I was being led to walk alongside others in their healing journeys.
Becoming a therapist was not the easiest path. Balancing motherhood, marriage, and the demands of daily life came with its challenges. Still, the calling persisted, and I chose to follow it.
I earned my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University and spent the next eight years working in nonprofit and private practice settings. In 2024, I founded McHam Family Therapy with a vision to support clients through trauma-informed, compassionate care while also mentoring and training the next generation of therapists.
I am also excited to begin the next chapter of that work as an adjunct professor at Abilene Christian University, serving in the role of Program Clinical Supervisor, where I have the opportunity to guide and support therapists in training as they develop their clinical skills and professional identity.
When I’m not working with clients, I’m spending time with my husband of 18 years and our three children. Our home is full of activity—from sports and extracurriculars to travel and family adventures. I enjoy reading, recording audiobooks, music, and the occasional family dance party. These moments of connection and creativity are what keep me grounded and inspired.
