Personal Philosophy

and the systems around us. As a therapist, I strive to understand my clients within the
context of their relationships and to create a safe environment where we can work
together to strengthen their communication, increase emotional awareness, and overall
work towards genuine connection with those around them.

Educational and Occupational Background
I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Abilene
Christian University where I am receiving extensive training on a variety of different
therapeutic approaches, with a focus on the treatment of trauma.
I have always been drawn toward serving others and providing the tools needed to
improve both their self-worth and outlook on life. Through receiving my bachelor’s
degree in Child and Family Services, I received training in areas such as child
development, trauma informed and family centered intervention planning, and conflict
resolution. I also completed an internship with Alliance for Children where I learned all
of the ins and outs of the advocacy of children and families affected by the trauma of
abuse through training on Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI).
My goal as your therapist is to work collaboratively with you toward meaningful change
in your life!
